Slightly ashamed to admit

Today after my c4 exam I began watching Stanley Kubrick's final film 'Eyes Wide Shut'. Despite several people, including my mother, telling me how crap, pointless, disappointing for a Kubrick fan etc it was I was determined to form my own judgement, and I'm very glad I did.

Although I didn't see the film all the way through what I saw I liked very much. All the over the top drama of Nicole Kidman's naval officer speech, the incense swinging, operatic sexual masquerade ball and everything else really just worked for me, in my opinion at least, Kubrick went out in style.
